FAQS

How do I migrate my site to HostMyGuild?

Three options:

  1. Copy your files via FTP from your old host to your computer, then upload to us. For WordPress, also export/import your database.
  2. Take a full cPanel backup (.tar) from your old host and send it to us — we’ll restore it for you.
  3. For WordPress sites, the easiest path is a migration plugin (All-in-One WP Migration, Duplicator, etc.) — install it on both ends and click through.

Or just open a ticket and we’ll handle it.

Can I host WordPress on a regular Web Hosting plan?

Yes. The Recruit plan (50 GB) handles a typical WordPress site comfortably. If you outgrow it, upgrade to Knight or Guildmaster — same one-click migration through cPanel, no downtime.

What are Nameservers and how do I update them?

If you bought your domain elsewhere (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.) you’ll point your domain’s nameservers to ours. We send you the exact values in your welcome email after purchase.

What are your Nameservers?

Our Nameservers:

ns1.casthost.net

ns2.casthost.net

How much storage do I need?

Rule of thumb:

Static sites & landing pages: a few MB to a few hundred MB.

WordPress sites: typically 200-500 MB; large sites with media can grow to several GB.

Forums, large galleries, file libraries: can grow into the tens of GB.

The Recruit plan (50 GB) covers almost everything we host. If you need more headroom or expect rapid growth, start with Knight or Guildmaster.

Where are your servers located?

United States.

HostMyGuild provides shared cPanel hosting purpose-built for guilds, gaming communities, streamers, and indie game devs. Honest flat pricing, real cPanel, no surprises.

We use cPanel with CloudLinux OS on managed infrastructure to keep your sites fast and isolated from neighbors.

Web Hosting: A site for your guild, clan, or gaming project — shared hosting is the most cost-effective starting point. Upgrade between tiers without downtime as you grow.

VPS Hosting and Game Servers: rolling out in 2026 — drop us a line if you need them sooner.
